Republican Party of Armenia is ready to negotiate without preconditions

Members of the ruling Republican Party met with party head Serzh Sargsyan and Armenia’s acting PM Karen Karapetyan on April 25.

During the first part of the meeting, Serzh Sargsyan explained the reasons behind his resignation in more detail to the members of the Republican Party. He urged the members to give priority to the country’s internal stability and security, which he believes can only be achieved through the unity of the party.

During the second portion of the meeting, Sargsyan and acting Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan discussed the current political situation and possible developments.

An agreement was reached that the ruling party will negotiate any issue with all sides without preconditions.

The party members also decided to begin to discuss the issue of the change in party leadership.
