Vrej Haroutounian: Urban Landscape of Yerevan Since Independence

Vrej Haroutounian, at the END OF TRANSITION: Armenia 25 Years On. Now What? conference organized by the USC Institute of Armenian Studies in Yerevan, presented his research on the changes in the urban landscape of Yerevan since the original city plan by Tamanian, to the economic collapse of the early 1990s and then the rapid development of the past decade.

Vrej Haroutounian is a PhD candidate in architecture at the College of Art of the University of Edinburgh where his dissertation focuses on post-Soviet Yerevan: Changes & Developments After Independence.
