HDIF Brings Jobs to Armenia’s Villages

CivilNet continues its series on Made in Armenia products.

On Parpetsi Street, in the center of Yerevan, there is a small shop called Homeland Development Initiative Foundation (HDIF). There, finger puppets made of crochet, wooden Christmas ornaments, tapestry garments from Tavush, Goris, Shirak, Vanadzor, Kapan, Vardenis decorate the shelves.

The Foundation works to initiate, facilitate, and nurture sustainable economic opportunities in rural regions of Armenia and provide employment to vulnerable groups.
