“Hypocrisy” of Sticking to Art and Forgetting Politics: Vahe Berberian

Writer, painter and stand up artist Vahe Berberian toys with the sense of hypocrisy of a diasporan who not having sons and daughters on the frontline, not having to bribe officials for basic services or deal with oligarchic thugs still dares to defend the rights of the Armenian citizens to “elect a government that will not rob them of their dignity.” Berberian made this address during a discussion organized by the University of Southern California Institute of Armenian Studies in Los Angeles entitled “Celebrity Diplomacy: Redefining Armenia’s Role in the Diaspora” on January 29.
