Սոցիոլոգ Հովհաննես Քըլըչդաղը կարծում է, որ Թուրքիայում ընդհանուր ժողովրդավարացման մթնոլորտի հաստատումը, ազատությունների ավելացումը և մի շարք այլ փոփոխություններ նպաստում են ինչպես մյուս ճնշված փոքրամասնությունների, այնպես էլ հայերի դրության բարելավմանը: Ինչքան բարձրանում է ժողովրդավարության մակարդակը, այնքան, բոլորի պես, դրանից օգտվում են նաև հայերը: Մյուս կողմից՝ պետք է սպասել օրենքների կիրառմանը, տեսնել դրանք, հետո միայն դատողություններ անել:
