Addressing the Feminization of Poverty

According to UN statistics, among the poorest people worldwide, 6 out of 10 are women. To what extent does the feminization of poverty globally also extend to Armenia? What are the root causes and how can they be addressed? Salpi Ghazarian speaks to Sara Anjargolian about her project “How We Live” which tells the story of impoverished families in Armenia and to Tim Straight about his work empowering women across rural Armenia through sustainable economic and small business development through the Homeland Development Initiative Foundation (HDIF).
