Over 300 Armenians still missing since 2020 war, says Red
Over 300 Armenians are still missing since the end of the 2020 Karabakh war, according to a new report by the Red Cross. Mkhitar Matevosyan, the mayor of the town of Vayk and a Civil Contract member, allegedly took part in corrupt business dealings, Armenian investigative outlet Hetq reported. Armenia won gold in the European Youth Weightlifting Championships.

Russia to organize high-level talks with Armenia, Azerbaijan
Russia’s Foreign Ministry said it is planning to organize high-level talks with Armenian and Azerbaijani officials by the end of the month. Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi reiterated that Iran will oppose any attempts to alter its borders in the Caucasus in a phone call with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. Armenia wins silver at World Chess Olympiad

Uzbekistan’s men’s team won gold after defeating the Netherlands, while Armenia beat Spain in the final match. Ahead of the final round, Armenia and Uzbekistan were equally ranked. India’s second team won bronze. On Monday, Armenia defeated Azerbaijan 3-1, gaining the lead before heading into the last round of the open section. Armenia delaying peace efforts, says Azerbaijani foreign minister
Karabakh President Arayik Harutyunyan signed a de-mobilization decree, after declaring a partial mobilization earlier this month . General Vitaly Balasanyan, the secretary of Karabakh’s Security Council, visited the town of Berdzor, also known as Lachin, together with representatives of the Russian peacekeeping contingent and the Azerbaijani side. In an interview with Turkish media, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov accused Armenia of delaying implementation of previously reached agreements, especially regarding the Zangezur corridor.
