Armenia’s Largest Solar Power Station Comes to Life Near Lake Sevan

The largest solar power station in Armenia is located in the village of Tsapatagh near Lake Sevan. It is the first in the region to be built with a solar tracking system, which is a device that orients solar panels toward the sun to capture its energy.

The system will provide the area with an electric current. More than 14,000 in the region will be able to convert sunlight energy into electricity, a huge move towards sustainability and a greener alternative for the protection of nature.

The Tufenkian Foundation played a large role in establishing this green energy system.
