Fifteen children were born and raised under one roof in the Melkonyan family. The father of the family, Martik Melkonyan, was the only and adopted child in his household. He confesses that he always dreamed of having a big family, but he could not imagine that it would be this big. Today, the Melkonyans also have two daughter-in-laws, one son-in-law, and one granddaughter. “A strong family is the basis of a strong state and a strong border,” says Martik Melkonyan and adds half jokingly – half seriously, that he and his wife are ready to become parents for the sixteenth time.
