More Armenian villages targeted by Azerbaijan

On July 4, Azerbaijani forces opened fire in the direction of Armenia’s Khachik village. Only three days later, Azerbaijani forces again fired in the direction of another Armenian village, Yelpin. Armenia reported no casualties in either village, but the Khachik mayor’s car was damaged in the shooting. Khachik and Yelpin, both located along Armenia’s border with Nakhichevan, join a long list of Armenian villages and towns that have been targeted in this way since the end of the 2020 Karabakh war, causing angst among local residents.
