Azerbaijan’s attack on Armenia has continued into a second day. Overnight, the southern town of Jermuk was fired on with artillery and drones, along with a number of other towns and villages in eastern and southern Armenia. As of 1 p.m. Wednesday, Armenia has confirmed 49 servicemen killed in action, with Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry reported 50 dead on its side. The death toll makes Tuesday the single deadliest day in the region since the outbreak of the Karabakh war nearly two years ago.
