Police officers injured after confrontation with protesters

  • As of this afternoon, at least 29 protesters have been detained and three police officers injured as daily anti-government protests escalate sharply outside the Foreign Ministry building in central Yerevan.
  • Armenia did not take part in another gathering of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, as it continues to keep its distance from the Russian-led security bloc.
  • The Armenian government is asking international donors and governments for assistance in rebuilding communities after a devastating flood which left four people dead.
