Restoring Yereruyk, Armenia’s ancient basilica

Join CivilNet on a visit to the ancient Armenian basilica of Yereruyk, dating back to the late fourth century. Located a few kilometers southeast of medieval Ani, near Turkey’s border, this historic site has endured various threats, such as a collapsed roof in the 17th century and the devastating 1988 earthquake. Restoration efforts are underway to preserve this national heritage, but proper preservation comes with unique challenges.
