Riding a bicycle early in the morning in Yerevan is easy, there are no cars or people. But, can you ride a bike at any other time of day? Is Yerevan a city for cyclists? Armenia’s prime minister is often encouraging the use of bicycles in a city that doesn’t have a single designated bike lane. Most cyclists are forced to ride on the sidewalk, which is neither pleasant nor safe.

Dear Journalists,
Please raise awareness about the issues faced by motorcycle riders. A significant number of car drivers are intolerant towards motorcycle riders. My observations indicate that many car drivers believe the roads belong solely to them, putting them in a privileged position, which is not the case. Mechanisms need to be implemented to address these issues, but the most important aspect is driving culture. If car drivers are not taught to respect riders of other vehicles from the beginning, it will be difficult to resolve these problems.
Best,
Arman
