The village of Berkaber lies on one side of the Joghaz reservoir, an artificial lake that forms part of the border between Armenia’s northeastern Tavush region and Azerbaijan’s northwestern Gazakh district. As part of a landmark border delimitation agreement reached in April, Armenian and Azerbaijani forces withdrew from some of their positions near the village in July. CivilNet traveled to Berkaber to find out what this all means for residents.
