Armenia’s Foreign Ministry released a statement expressing concern after the Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem reported an attack by Jewish extremists. Initial trial hearings in the Armenia v. Azerbaijan case at the International Court of Justice are starting today in The Hague. As Azerbaijan’s blockade of Nagorno-Karabakh entered its 50th day, the Red Cross transported 19 people, who had been separated from their families, from Nagorno-Karabakh to Armenia.

Egyptian president to make first-ever visit to Armenia
By Mark Dovich Abdel Fattah el-Sisi is set to become the first Egyptian leader to visit Armenia, a senior official at Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan’s office confirmed to CivilNet by phone Wednesday, without specifying a date. “(El-Sisi’s) visit is scheduled, but at the moment, I will refrain from giving a specific date. Once that is clear, we will publish an official message. Preparatory work is now underway,” said Aghasi Margaryan, the head of Khachaturyan’s communications department.
