Zannah Bukar Mustapha is the founder of the Future Prowess Islamic Foundation School in Maiduguri, Nigeria.
The region of Maiduguri suffered from exactions committed by the terrorist group Boko Haram. The group has targeted the Nigerian education system, assaulting schools, students and teachers in northeast Nigeria and disrupting access to education and social services. Their atrocities led to deaths and left numerous children orphaned.
Mustapha’s school has provided free education to more than 3,000 orphans and other underprivileged children.
