President Serzh Sargsyan has signed a decree reinstating Gagik Beglaryan as Minister of Transport and Communication and Hasmik Poghosyan as Minister of Culture. Beglaryan and Poghosyan were heading these ministries before Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan’s resignation on April 3rd.
On April 22 Serzh Sargsyan appointed Karen Chshmarityan as Minister of Economy. From 2002-2007 Chshmarityan headed the department that was known at that time as the Ministry of Trade and Economic Development.
According to another decree signed earlier by the President, Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandyan and Minister of Emergency Situations Armen Yeritzyan were also reappointed to their posts.
Chair of the Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs of the National Assembly, Davit Harutyunyan, was appointed as Minister-Chief of Staff of the Government.
