At 7:00 a.m. on July 18, Gevorg Artemi Avagyan, born in 1994, a soldier of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic defense army, received a fatal gunshot wound at a military base located towards the south. The NKR Defense Ministry is conducting an investigation to establish the details of what happened.
A statement by NKR’s Ministry of Defense reads: “The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh shares the great sorrow of this loss and offers its support to Gevorg Avagyan’s family and fellow servicemen.”
