On September 9, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Education and Science, and the “Yerkrapah” Volunteer Union signed a memorandum to implement “Patani Yerkrapah” (Youth Protectors of the Land) patriotic clubs in educational institutions in Armenia and ensure their implementation effective immediately.
Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan, stressed the importance that patriotic upbringing of future generations will have on the development of the state and society as a whole. He noted that the newly established clubs will become a hub for Karabakh Conflict studies, as well as developing an appreciation for modern-day national heroes. The clubs will contribute to youths’ knowledge of Armenian history, and will nourish a new generation of active citizens.
Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan and “Yerkrapah” Volunteer Union Chair Manuel Grigoryan added that today we have knowledgeable, disciplined, and patriotic youth. Their report outlines the necessity of sparing no effort, not only for preservation, but to improve and expand children’s knowledge of Armenian history and politics.
