A Look at Armenia’s Online Education in Times of COVID-19

Hayk and Maria are both teachers in Armenia.

Since March 16, Armenia’s educational institutions have been closed following the COVID-19 outbreak in the country.

The guitar teacher and the English teacher have to adjust to the new situation and they now teach online.

Worldwide, there are more than a billion and a half affected learners, from which 500,000 are in Armenia, according to UNESCO .

Armenia’s government has created heravar.armedu.am, an online platform that provides access to education for children, teenagers and adults.
