Վավերագրական ֆիլմը պատմում է Հայաստանի կույրերի միավորման երգչախմբում երգող մարդկանց մասին: Երգչախումբը ձևավորվել է դեռ ԽՍՀՄ-ում և գոյատևել անկախ Հայաստանի սոցիալական ծանր պայմաններում: 1976-ից երգչախմբի անդամների շուրջ 70 տոկոսը կույր երգիչներ են: 2018-ին Հայաստանի «Թավշյա հեղափոխությունը» նրանց մոտ նոր հույսեր ու սպասումներ է արթնացրել՝ ավելի մեծ աջակցության և ավելի լավ պայմանների համար: Սակայն այսօր երգչախմբի ճակատագիրը մնում է անորոշ:
Ֆիլմը պատրաստվել է OPEN Media Hub-ի աջակցությամբ Եվրամիության տրամադրած ֆինանսական միջոցներով։
Ֆիլմն մասնակցել է «Ոսկե ծիրան» 16-րդ միջազգային կինոփառատոնի կարճամետրաժ ֆիլմերի տարածաշրջանային մրցույթին, ինչպես նաև Տորոնտոյի «Նուռ» 14-րդ միջազգային կինոփառատոնին։
The documentary tells the story of those singing in the Choir of the Armenian Association of the Blind. The choir was formed in the USSR and struggled through the difficult social conditions in a newly independent Armenia. Since 1976, roughly 70 percent of members of the choir are blind. Following Armenia’s “velvet revolution” in 2018, new hopes and expectations have arisen for greater support and better conditions. Yet, today, the choir’s fate remains obscure.
The film was produced with the support of OPEN Media Hub, with financial support from the EU.
The documentary was screened in the Regional short film competition of the 16th Golden Apricot international film festival in Yerevan, as well as in the 14th Pomegranate film festival in Toronto, Canada.
