Discovering Armenian Identity Through Coffee

Liana Aghajanian is an Armenian raised in Los Angeles. But she’s also a journalist who never turns down the chance to follow a good story.

She was present at INNOVATE ARMENIA, the festival of ideas and innovation that took place at the University of Southern California on May 18, 2019.

During the event, many people stopped at her booth, named Dialects of Coffee, to record about the significance of their stories and memories of Armenian coffee.

Innovate Armenia is organized by the USC Institute of Armenian Studies. The program featured fifty participants, from six countries, and nearly 4,000 attendees. This is the fourth time in five years that this unique event has been staged by the Institute.
