The Glendale-based Hayrenaser Organization has been actively supporting Nagorno Karabakh for years; rebuilding and renovating schools, administrative centers, clinics. Since the resumption of heavy fighting on April 2, the organization has hurried to support more urgent needs. Turns out the soldiers could use sleeping bags.
Hundred sleeping bags, gathered in a couple of days were delivered to Nagorno Karabakh on April 21. Organizers say they are ready to ship more supplies to the front line.
Meanwhile, Hayrenaser has also initiated a program to financially assist the families of soldiers killed during the four-day war and after. The organization also carries out work on the information front by disseminating information to the public, about the history of the area and current developments.
