Armenia approves humanitarian aid shipment to Gaza 

  • Armenia, with Egypt’s assistance, will provide about 30 tons of desperately needed humanitarian aid to Palestinians in Gaza, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan confirmed.
  • Pashinyan slammed remarks by Nagorno-Karabakh’s former leader claiming to lead a government-in-exile, calling the comments a threat to Armenia’s national security.
  • Talks between Armenia, the European Union, and the United States next week will be focused on economic and humanitarian issues, a State Department spokesperson said.
  • As of now, Armenia is not considering applying to join the EU, the country’s parliament speaker confirmed, while leaving open the possibility of doing so at a later date.
  • Russia rejects the term “corridor” to describe a potential transit route connecting mainland Azerbaijan and Nakhichevan via Armenia, a government spokesperson said.
