Developments continue regarding the crisis on the border in southern Armenia. Azerbaijan has committed more border violations, in Sisian and Gegharkunik regions. Armenia has applied for assistance from the CSTO, and the Armenian leadership has held talks with their French and Russian counterparts.

The village of Verishen is 3 km from the town of Goris in Armenia’s southern Syunik region. According to the villagers, early on the morning of May 12, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces crossed the border into Armenia and moved their positions forward.
