Armenian Genocide Commemoration at an Empty Memorial

For the first time, the Armenian Genocide Memorial in Yerevan is empty on April 24. All pedestrian and car roads leading to the memorial are closed because of coronavirus-related lockdowns.

Nonetheless, the Remembrance Day that marks the 105th anniversary of the Armenian genocide in Ottoman Turkey is not forgotten.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, accompanied with his wife, Anna Hakobyan, honoured the memory of the 1.5 million victims of the 1915 Genocide.
