The meeting between Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Russia’s President Vladimir Putin kicked off in Sochi.
Putin congratulated Nikol Pashinyan on his election as Prime Minister and wished him success.
Putin touched upon the Armenian-Russian trade turnover, noting that it is constantly increasing. According to Putin, Armenian agricultural products reach Russian markets.
“In Armenian-Russian relations there are issues subject to discussion and some are not needed to be discussed. In particular, the Armenian-Russian strategic cooperation is not subject to discussion,” – said Pashinyan, adding that “in Armenia, nobody doubts the importance of Armenia-Russia strategic cooperation.”
Nikol Pashinyan also stressed that importance should be given to cooperation in the military-technical sphere.
He positively noted the large number of Russian tourists visiting Armenia.
Pashinyan also stated that the Armenian leadership and people highly valued Russia’s balanced, neutral policy in the internal political crisis in Armenia.
