Inspired by Pablo Picasso’s Guernica, artist Jackie Kazarian decided to commemorate the centenary of the Armenian Genocide of 1915, by creating a monumental painting. Kazarian spoke with CivilNet and said that the painting will not depict the horrors of Genocide but rather will celebrate Armenian history and culture. It will initially be exhibited in Chicago and then disassembled and exhibited to other locations throughout the world.
