In recent months, it has become a place of refuge and an opportunity for artistic expression for participants of the Abastan program. What started as an initiative for Russian migrants turned into a community of international artists. This video is about the life of artists in Abastan, what precarious situations they have escaped from, and how the space serves as a place of refuge.

CFTJ accuses Azerbaijan of torturing Armenian prisoners of war at
Last week, the United Nations Committee against Torture reviewed Azerbaijan’s compliance with its commitments under international law. Prior to the hearings, the Center for Truth and Justice, a U.S.-based nonprofit, submitted a report based on interviews with nearly three dozen former Armenian prisoners of war in Azerbaijan, detailing widespread use of torture.
