OSCE Minsk Group to Visit Yerevan

The OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs Igor Popov, Jacques Faure and James Warlick will be in Yerevan on February 5 where they will meet with Armenia’s President and Minister of Foreign Affairs.The Minsk Group Co-Chairs are in Baku today to hold meetings with Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev and Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov.

On January 23-24 the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and Azerbaijan met in Paris along with the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs. In an announcement following their meeting the Co-Chairs expressed their willingness to continue working towards a peaceful resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

On Saturday during the Munich Security Conference, which was held from January 31 to February 2, US Secretary of State John Kerry announced that the US is continuing its work towards the resolution of the Karabakh conflict. “I can’t think of a place in the world that we are retreating, not one. We are actively and consistently working in all places and our aim is to reach change. We’re working on Cyprus quietly. You’re not hearing about it. We’re also working on Nagorno-Karabakh, the Caucasus,” said Kerry.
