Using film to educate about genocide, persecution and intergenerational trauma

Mirza Dinnayi, the 2019 Aurora Prize Laureate and director and co-founder of Air Bridge Iraq, sat down with CivilNet to discuss his role as a juror at the 2022 Golden Apricot Film Festival. Dinnayi explained how film directors and producers can educate people about genocide and historical events through art. Dinnayi also talked about the House of Co-existence, a multifunctional complex in Sinjar, Iraq, and the shared experiences of the Armenian and Yezidi peoples.
