Jermuk still awaiting tourists, months after Azerbaijan’s attack

After Azerbaijan’s unprecedented attack on Armenia last September, the famed resort town of Jermuk in eastern Armenia experienced a steep decline in visitors. But in the months since, buildings and infrastructure in Jermuk damaged in the attacks have largely been restored. Local entrepreneurs told CivilNet that the reason for the decline in visitors is not so much the danger of further Azerbaijani attacks, but rather public perceptions.
