On November 17, Nikol Pashinyan announced on his official Facebook page that he has opened applications for positions in his government. Before Pashinyan can appoint people to such positions, however, he must be voted into parliament in the December 9 elections, and then voted by a parliamentary majority to the post of the prime minister.
In a post that received 11 thousand ‘likes’, Pashinyan wrote that during the six months in which he served as Prime Minister, of the most justifiable complaints he received was that average citizens were unable to reach him to offer their services to the Republic of Armenia.
“All those who believe that they deserve a place in the various sectors of the government, and have expertise or interest in implementing reform projects, can send a CV and a motivation letter to [email protected],” he wrote.
Pashinyan did not set specific criteria, nor any specifications on the languages applications can be submitted in.
Candidates who demonstrate great professionalism and motivation in their resume and motivation letter, may be invited for an interview with the relevant advisory group.
After a few stages of interviews, and with the discretion of the designated and appointed bodies, candidates will be appointed to positions in government.
“If necessary, I will meet with the candidates,” Pashinyan said.
The parliamentary candidate ended with “just one request.” He said, “The choice of staff in this case is a strictly discreet process and I ask you not to feel hurt or rejected in any case.” He did not provide a submission deadline in his post.
