The European Union said it will double the number of “operational hubs” for monitors deployed to the Armenian side of the border with Azerbaijan. The trial against the Azerbaijani soldier accused of murdering an Armenian civilian in southern Armenia in April will begin on Friday, the Prosecutor General’s Office said. The company said that more than 700 people who work at the mine had been placed on unpaid leave.
